We are aware of some challenges when workers are attempting to schedule their second dose through the health unit after receiving their first at the airport this spring. These challenges are a result of workers not receiving their health card number when they arrived in Canada and chose to participate in the airport vaccination clinic, immediately after their arrival. Their Passport numbers would have been the identification used for their vaccination records in the provincial system. The vaccination slip provided to the worker at time of vaccination would be the most helpful tool should the worker not be found in the system.
If any worker has misplaced their vaccination receipt and needs a replacement:
- They can call the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900. The call centre agent can email them a copy of their receipt. There are multiple languages of operators who service this line.
- They can also contact their local health unit, or the clinic that registered them when they received their vaccination, to request a copy of their receipt.
At the airport clinic workers would have provided an email contact. If a worker is now using a different email address than when they were registered at time of vaccination, then they won’t be receiving reminder emails. They should update their contact information when they go for their second vaccination.
