1. For non-compliance of the ROA/Letter of Instruction (generally workplace such as not screening or allowing people that are symptomatic to work), it’s $1000 per person, but there are other charges of up to $100,000 for individual, $500,000 if the person is a director/officer at the organization and $10,000,000 for a corporation plus up to a year of imprisonment (see section 10 https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/20r17#BK13)
2. For non-compliance with the MOHs sec. 22 under the HPPA, it’s generally $750 per person, but there are potential charges of $5000 per day for individuals and $25,000 per day for corporations (see section 100 https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90h07#BK119)
3. For non-compliance under the EMCPA and it’s regulations, there are charges of up to $100,000 for individual, $500,000 if the person is a director/officer at the organization and $10,000,000 for a corporation plus up to a year of imprisonment. (see section 7.0.11 https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90e09#BK22)
Note, the above is only provincial legislation from public health. MLTSD may have their own orders under OHSA and the different federal governments have their own charges.
