Workplace Mental Health Survey – For Employers in WEC and their Employees

by Nathan Couvillon

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has brought the importance of the mental health and wellness of our communities into focus.  We need your help to build a better understanding of the mental health needs and strengths of our local workforce.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit (WECHU), in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association – Windsor-Essex County Branch (CMHA-WECB) and Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE), is inviting all employers to participate in a survey to learn more about the mental health experiences and needs of the Windsor-Essex County (WEC) workforce. The data collected from the Workplace Mental Health Survey will be analyzed and used to inform local public health strategies, interventions, and coordinated workplace mental health promotion efforts in WEC.

We will offer participating organizations a confidential, customized workplace report with recommendations for programming and initiatives that your organization could implement to promote positive mental health in the workplace.

How to Participate

Step 1: Employer Opt-in Survey

All employers interested in enrolling their workplace can opt-in by completing a brief (5-10 minute) online survey about their organization’s workplace characteristics.

Step 2: Survey for Employees

After the employer has opted in to the survey, the organization’s employees will be invited to participate. The online survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Employees interested in participating in the survey are encouraged to ask their employers to opt-in or enroll in the survey.
