WECHU Outbreak Process
Vaccinated or Unvaccinated workers testing POSITIVE
- Isolate
- Day-7 Test
- If negative and asymptomatic, they may exit
- If they refuse the test it will be treated as a positive and therefore required to isolate for remainder or until asymptomatic (up to 20 days)
Unvaccinated – Close Contact
- Isolate
- Day-7 Test
- If negative and asymptomatic, they may exit
- If they refuse the test it will be treated as a positive and therefore required to isolate for remainder or until asymptomatic (up to 20 days)
Positive or Close Contacts
Vaccinated workers TESTING POSITIVE – isolate, day 7 test and remainder of isolation until symptom free (could be up to 20 days inclusive of the initial test)
- Those that are close contacts testing negative initially must isolate and test again on day 7. If this is negative, they can exit quarantine.
- Similar to scenario 2 (above), if they refuse the day 7 test, they must isolate for the extension of days until 20 have passed since the initial test.
