Agricultural Clean Technology Program: Research and Innovation Stream
The Agriculture Clean Technology (ACT) Program targets projects that:
- Adopt clean technology
- Reduce Carbon emissions
- Promote Sustainable Growth
There are 2 streams:
1. Innovation Stream

- Applied research and development of clean technologies
- Piloting and evaluating clean technologies
- Demonstration and knowledge and technology transfer activities
- Commercializing and scaling up clean technologies
- Other activities that support the Research and Innovation Stream as determined by the program
2. Adoption Stream

- Energy efficient improvements
- Precision agriculture
- Bioeconomy solutions
What is provided?
- 50/50 cost share up to $2 Million per project
- Maximum $5 Million per recipient
- Possible 60/40 cost share (woman, youth, age < 35, indigenous, minority, have disability)
- Maximum of 75% stacking between Federal, Provincial and Municipal sources

- Biodigesters
- Efficient boilers
- Heat pumps
- Bioplastics
- Research, development, and piloting of clean tech
